Illustrator and designer Johnny Slocum, is designing a poster every day for the whole of 2010 for his aptly-named Poster-A-Day project. Check out what he’s done so far at Flickr. Our village has received yet another couple of inches of snow this morning. Our road is like a skating rink, but the main roads are fairly clear. We are definitely better off than a lot of areas in the UK!
We were planning to travel to Paris for a few days before Christmas for a short break this year, but there was a slight problem. We were travelling via Eurostar! The day before we were due to travel I phoned them up to only meet with an automated message information us to call them back later. So Jane emailed them and to our surprise got a response not just once, but twice within half an hour. We had decided, after seeing the news about people trapped in the tunnel, to ask for a refund and it was lucky we did as we were due to travel on the Sunday and it’s Wednesday now, with travel only just getting back on track (excuse the pun). Hopefully we’ll be resuming our travel plans in the Spring. The Musée d’Orsay will have to wait!
