LCS Newsletter, Pixel Presence…

May 15th, 2008

I’ve just posted up the LCS’s May newsletter, check it out! I review a coloring book, a very cool coloring book.

Along with the Hire an illustrator! redesign, I’ve also rebuilt the Pixel Presence ready-made-website template. I used it to create the recent Hai! redesign. The sales site is a bit blank at the moment, but I’m really happy with the result. Pixel Presence gives not only illustrators, but anyone who wants a fantastic website the ability to do it! I’ve change the price scheme too. Now you get your own website for as little as £12.50.

Locked to a desk!

February 11th, 2008

Are you so reliant on the way you have your computer setup and the files it contains that you’re are unable to work without it? I thought about this for a long time and could not see anyway around it considering the number of websites and projects I run and the number of people who rely on me for support. I’ve always tried to work in a way that allows me to throw what I need on a flash stick then off I go, but sometimes that’s just not enough. A few months ago I found the perfect solution! :)

I have a mini USB powered 160GB portable hard drive and I use a software suite called PortableApps.

Michael Slack’s ICK

October 3rd, 2007

I kindly got sent a copy of Michael Slack’s ICK for review a little while ago. I’ve been playing the game non-stop with my son for weeks now, and yesterday I spotted this animation for the game on YouTube :) I still need to write the review, but I’m not sure what to say about it. The box it comes in is great with its magnetic lid and fantastic artwork… But I’m sure the review will go down the toilet as soon as I mention one of the characters has a bottom for a face. :) Maybe I can drag the review back up from the gutter by mentioning how great the fully illustrated instruction booklet is. Oh… And I can mention me and my son have been playing it for weeks.

I’m not sure if this is for the public yet, but Chronicle Books have a site up for the game. [link..]

I would buy it just for the artwork ;)
